Naming Your Desktop:
Upon your first visit to the website, you’ll be prompted with the question: “What do you want to name your desktop?”. Enter your desired name, and this will serve as the header for your notes page. The name will be saved, so the next time you visit, it will display the name you’ve chosen.
Adding Notes:
Write down your note in the textarea labeled “Enter your note here”. If you wish to include an image with your note, provide the image URL in the input field labeled “Image URL (optional)”. Once done, click the “Add Note” button to save your note. It will appear below the buttons. Any web links added in the note will automatically be clickable.
Deleting Notes:
Each note has a “Delete” button next to it. Clicking this will remove the specific note immediately.
Exporting Notes with Password Protection:
After adding all your notes, you can save and export them by clicking the “Export Notes” button. You’ll be prompted to enter a password. This password will be used to encrypt your notes. After setting the password, your notes will be downloaded as a .dat file named “RoviraiNotes” followed by the date and time.
Importing & Decrypting Notes:
If you’ve exported your notes previously and wish to load them again, click the “Load Imported Notes” button. You’ll be prompted to select the .dat file you’ve exported earlier. Once the file is selected, you’ll be asked to enter the password you set during the export. If the password is correct, your notes will be loaded and displayed.
Images and Hyperlinks in Notes:
When you add an image URL while writing a note, the image will be displayed beneath your text when the note is saved. Any web link (URL starting with “http:// or https://”) that you include in the notes will be automatically converted to a clickable link.
